On August 28, 2026, the third phase of the Moselektroshchit production complex, part of the NEC Group, was officially opened in Kovrov, Vladimir Region. As part of the project, the Inspirem Rus team developed the design and working documentation and provided designer’s supervision throughout the project. The new 15,500 m² production building is designed to manufacture up to 3,000 medium- and low-voltage switchgear units annually, with voltage ratings from 0.4 to 35 kV. The investment in the new production facility amounted to RUB 2.8 billion. As a result of the project, the company’s production area has more than doubled.
The project was led on behalf of Inspirem Rus by Alexander Korotaev. He noted that seeing the results of the design team’s work after the facility has been completed is particularly valuable:
“Design is a complex intellectual effort involving a team of highly qualified specialists from different disciplines, who have invested thousands of hours and a part of themselves to make the facility a reality. Since we primarily work with information models, calculations and drawings, which are the results of our work, it is always particularly exciting and rewarding to see the idea come to life and witness the completed facility in reality.
The new production workshop, the third phase of Moselektroshchit, was a challenging project. For the Client, meeting the project schedule was a priority, which, in turn, had a direct impact on the timelines for issuing the design and working documentation. Every team member had to rethink their usual approach and understand that there would be no conventional and, to some extent, predictable design process. Decisions had to be made quickly and the construction team had to be provided with drawings without delay. Of course, as with any project, not everything went as smoothly as we would have liked. Nevertheless, we are grateful to the Client and our colleagues for their willingness to find compromises and maintain a dialogue that was always professional and constructive.”
The new production building will enable Moselektroshchit to increase its output of in-demand electrical equipment for the energy sector, industrial facilities and infrastructure projects. The opening of the third phase marked another milestone in the company’s large-scale expansion. Previously, in 2025, the plant launched two new production facilities: a busbar trunking workshop with an annual capacity of up to 12,000 meters of products and a workshop for the production of gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) cells with an annual capacity of up to 2,000 units. For Inspirem Rus, the project became an example of working under tight deadlines, with a highly dynamic design process and the need for prompt coordination among all project participants throughout the implementation period. Inspirem Rus congratulates the Moselektroshchit team on the opening of the third phase of the plant and wishes the company continued growth and successful implementation of new production projects.
